University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center provides on-site cancer care coordination and works closely with University Hospitals' Ireland Cancer Center — the only program in Northern Ohio awarded the National Cancer Institute’s designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Geauga Medical Center provides cancer surgery and diagnostic testing, supported by a team which includes a certified oncology nurse and a range of education and screening programs.
Our caring professionals focus on each patient and every body system affected by cancer to ensure that the best possible therapies are implemented.
Education is an integral component of the hospital’s oncology services. Physicians and staff present numerous cancer screenings and informational programs to detect cancer in its earliest stages and to make people aware of signs and symptoms of the disease.
A full array of oncology treatment modalities, including radiation and chemotherapy, are available at the Lake/University Ireland Cancer Center in Mentor and at University Hospitals Chagrin Highlands Health Center in Orange Village.
