Individual training
Our personal trainers provide individual training for people interested in weight management, muscle development, strength, speed and endurance, and injury prevention techniques.
Sports Medicine
Many athletes (professional and recreational) constantly look for ways to reduce the risk of injury and increase performance. Helping athletes in their quest for optimum fitness and conditioning, Geauga Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Department is the community's leader in training, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Working with high school athletes from the region, our sports medicine team measures size, maturity and agility to determine if an individual is suited for a particular sport. Throughout the many sport seasons, ongoing physicals and tests such as body fat composition are performed on certain athletes, especially wrestlers, to ensure athletes are using correct training practices.

When injuries do occur, the hospital’s full array of diagnostic capabilities (including bone scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT) scans) are used to quickly and accurately detect and diagnose the condition.

Rehabilitation includes electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy, and various exercise modalities. The healing progress is often charted through Biodex isokinetic equipment, which measures muscle contraction, strength and endurance.
